Wild West Coast Storm Watch Sneak Peek!
A few days ago my husband and I went to our favourite spot on this planet hoping to experience storm season. We fought through wind storms, cancelled ferries, and winter road conditions, but after all was said and done we ended up in paradise. We absolutely love Tofino and clearly aren't the only ones, as restaurants were pump'n and surfers were out catching the big ones. It was just what the doctor ordered, a relaxing couple of days at our favourite B&B, Gull Cottage, and some wild west coast adventure. Hiking may have been wet and cold, but the scenery and views never cease to amaze us... even though I grew up in this environment I can never get enough. We finished our trip with good energy in a relaxed state...even baby was calm and laid back during the trip...surely he felt what we did!

HALLE CAPRI SNEAK PEEK
This is Jen and Mike's 5th addition to the family. She was so cooperative, not a peep from her the whole shoot. Congratulations to the family of five! These will be moments to cherish forever.

CARLY'S BABY BUMP!
Baby bumps seem to be contagious lately. I have to say that one of the reasons why I haven't been posting many photos is because I have been preoccupied with my own.
Carly, Avery and Scooter, thanks for fantastic day, it was especially nice to get back into nature, and take in the fresh winter air! Very well worth the trek!

JAY & DANIELLE (THE PERFECT WINTER DAY)
Well, December 11th was the perfect day for a winter photo session! The day was everything we had asked for and more, a little snowfall, sunshine, and that mist that lies on Okanagan lake certain winter mornings was also present. Summerhill Winery offered a flawless setting, with the rows of icewine grapes waiting patiently to be plucked for winter harvest, and the glasslike lake reflecting the mountains in the distance.
A big thanks to Jay & Danielle for making the day even more picture perfect!

OKANAGAN FALL WEDDING ( STEVE & TARA)
Well, this was my last wedding for 2011 and I was so pleased, as I'm sure the wedding couple was as well, to see the sun!
The wedding took place on October 8th at the Guishican House garden, where all of Steve and Tara's friends and family came to witness their special moment in time!
I was excited to find out after meeting with Tara that Steve is from the east coast (Maritimes), as that is where my husband is from... So I made sure to bring some props for the ring shots (Lobster claw, and a light house) I couldn't resist!
Congratulations on a wonderful, bright and sunny marriage for Steve and Tara!

A WEST COAST VANCOUVER ISLAND WEDDING (ROD & DESIREE)
Okay so I may be a little bias because I'm an Island gal myself, but the lush green forests, clear glass river water and mountainous terrain really complete a beautiful backdrop for the perfect photograph...especially when a bride and groom are placed in these types of settings. To be honest, I've been dying to shoot a wedding on the Island...I was completely in my element.
Rod and Des are old friends of mine from the little village I grew up in called "Gold River". I was very honored to have a special part in their day documenting their important moments. I love you both so very much, and all the best continuing the incredible journey that you've already started.
What can I say..... you may have been 45 minutes late for your reception, but I think after you see some of these moments, you'll know it was all worth it.
