MY LITTLE SAILOR (RUSSELL)

He's finally here and I can't believe he's already a month old!  Little Russell is the reason you haven't seen any new photography blogs until now.  He's given me a new reason to take pictures...and lots of them!  He had a great day with mommy and even showed off his gums... Russell, you have helped me discover a whole new feeling of love that I didn't know I had, and every bit of it is for you!

HERE HE IS...

CHRIS & KELLY"S ENGAGEMENT SNEAK PEEK

Congratulations to Chris and Kelly on their engagement and soon to be wedding!  Unfortunately, I will not be taking part on their summer wedding day in the southern Okanagan, as it is too close for comfort to my due date.  However, I have passed them onto a talented photographer and friend of mine, Kyla with Kay Photos...Chris and Kelly, you are in good hands!  All the best to them on their big day!  Enjoy your Sneak Peek!

HAPPY GRADUATION! (JULIA, UBCO)

It was nostalgic for me to head back up to North Campus at UBCO, a place that I have spent many years, not only studying certain academics, such as my Bachelor of Fine Arts, but also experiencing life on campus living in the dorms.  Of course it was called OUC at the time, a small intimate University College, with limited programs and capacity.  Six years later I see the development and growth this campus has accomplished.
Julia is one of UBCO's 2012 graduates, and she had her family and loved ones there to support her.  Congratulations and all the best to you Julia!

OWEN & LINDSEY (ENGAGEMENT SNEAK PEEK)

It's neat to look back and see what kind of adventures my photography has allowed me to discover!  Last week I went with Owen and Lindsey to the trestles in East Kelowna to take some romantic snowy shots of the two, as Owen proposed to Lindsey in a snowfall earlier this year and the couple wanted to have the snow present in the their photos!  This was quite the adventure!!!  We ended up getting stuck while we were navigating the perfect spot...and even though we had a shovel, it felt like we spent about an hour trying to dig the tires out of the snow bank.  We surrendered to the snow and called someone to recuse us as we continued to make the best of the day and found some nearby locations for some wintery photos.  Thanks for the fun adventure Owen and Lindsey, thank goodness it was sunny!

KRISTY"S VISIT (EXPECTING)

I was fortunate enough to have my close friend Kristy, whom I grew up with on the Island, come and visit me the other week from Alberta.  It was especially nice because her and I are both expecting and we are only weeks apart!
You always hope while growing up that you and your friends stay on the similar paths and share some of the many exciting and amazing moments in life together...I'm so happy to go through this adventure with Kristy!  Lots of love to you, and I absolutely can't wait to meet your little baby girl. xo

Wild West Coast Storm Watch Sneak Peek!

A few days ago my husband and I went to our favourite spot on this planet hoping to experience storm season.  We fought through wind storms, cancelled ferries, and winter road conditions, but after all was said and done we ended up in paradise.  We absolutely love Tofino and clearly aren't the only ones, as restaurants were pump'n and surfers were out catching the big ones.  It was just what the doctor ordered, a relaxing couple of days at our favourite B&B, Gull Cottage, and some wild west coast adventure.  Hiking may have been wet and cold, but the scenery and views never cease to amaze us... even though I grew up in this environment I can never get enough.  We finished our trip with good energy in a relaxed state...even baby was calm and laid back during the trip...surely he felt what we did!

HALLE CAPRI SNEAK PEEK

This is Jen and Mike's 5th addition to the family.  She was so cooperative, not a peep from her the whole shoot.  Congratulations to the family of five!  These will be moments to cherish forever.
