T'is the Season!

Wow, what a perfect day for a wintery wonderland photo shoot!  It was cold but well worth it.  It's been a busy Christmas season with photo shoots and art commissions!

Danny, Grace, Lily, Oliver & Aunty Gale

Wow does time ever fly!  Approximately 3 years ago I was fortunate to do a beautiful fall photo shoot with this family. Lily and Oliver (twins) of course were still little bundles then.
This fall we went on a trek through the forest in behind their new house to find some scenic photography spots...and I think we succeeded!

I met Jessie a few years back through a mutual friend, and it's hard for me to believe that she is at this chapter in her life already!  Time flies and it is moments like these that remind us just that.  Jessie, thank you for the fabulous photo shoot, the brilliant fall colours were definitely not the only thing glowing in the afternoon sun.  All the best!

A Small Surprise (Emily)

Already traveling Vancouver Island after mine and Josh's spectacular wedding in Tofino, we made sure to make some special stops to see familiar places and catch up with old friends.  I was very fortunate because for the first time, only a week after her birth I met Emily.  Melissa it was wonderful to see you so happy and glowing, and it's no wonder why...  

A Nice Reunion (James & Ashley's Wedding August 2010)

This August I had the pleasure of taking a road trip to the quaint little town of Christina Lake to shoot a wedding.  Ashley (the bride) and her family being former Gold River residents contacted me approximately a year ago to see if I was available for a wedding August 2010.  I was not only honored to take the job, but it was an added bonus to able to see the many familiar faces of old friends.

Ashley, you made a beautiful bride as I suspected and it was wonderful to meet James!  I wish you two the absolute best!

Photography 2010

 I have been meaning to get this blog up and running since this summer when I created my new website www.spphotographykelowna.com.  So much has happened over the year with my photography!
In the past few months I have not only continued to add new weddings, family portraits, expecting mothers, and engagements to my portfolio, but had the opportunity this summer to shoot some fashion.
I had been lucky enough to work with Jacqueline Podewils, now a good friend, who has in past lived, breathed and studied New York Fashion.  Her Fashion Column in the Kelowna Daily Courier needed some photographs, and that is where I had the pleasure of capturing her work on lens, while at the same time adding my own creative twist on each photograph.
