KATHY & GREG'S WEDDING

This intimate Penticton wedding was my last of the season.  The ceremony took place at the Leir House in Penticton, a beautiful stone heritage house...not to mention fall is my favourite time of the year not only to shoot a wedding but get out and enjoy nature.  With this wedding couple we switched it up a little and did all of our shots in an urban setting, which I must say really suited them!  I thoroughly enjoyed working with this group...they were cooperative and fun which allows me to capture many amazing shots!
Thanks Kathy & Greg, I really enjoyed this one!

SARAH & DARIN'S WEDDING

On September 21st, it was my privilege to photograph Sarah & Darin's wedding at Two Eagles Golf Course, a venue I had not seen until this day.  I must say, such a stunning location, exposed wood beams in a clean open space overlooking the Golf Course.  I also have to add how beautifully the cedar carved Aboriginal Totems and doors complimented everything about this location.
Sarah, Darin and their group knew how to have fun and were extremely entertaining. I enjoyed every moment capturing these!

Thanks Sarah and Darin for having me be a part of your fun filled Celebration!

A WEDDING DAY WITH RAIN = GOOD LUCK! (SEAN & CHRISTINE)

Kelowna to most people is a popular place to visit in the summer time, not only for it's wineries, tasty fresh fruit, and the beautiful refreshing Okanagan lake, but a place to come and soak up some guaranteed sunshine.  With our summers lasting a lot longer here than in other regions, we are even lucky enough to have some of the most beautiful fall seasons around...and because of this Kelowna is a hot spot for destination weddings, even if you are already from Canada or BC.  Over the years I have realized that majority of my wedding couples have been from other provinces in this vast country, and I think it might have to do with what I have mentioned above.
A few weeks ago, it was my absolute pleasure to photograph Sean and Christine's wedding.  They travelled all the way from Saskatoon to have their wedding ceremony and celebration at the Hotel Eldorado here in Kelowna.  Even though it was early September, and we had been enjoying some hot sun the week prior... it was not looking promising for sunny weather the day of their outdoor boardwalk ceremony.  After moving the wedding ceremony inside during an extremely rainy day, this couple finally got to celebrate what they came here for.
Congratulations Sean and Christine, the rain may have slowed the photography process down a tad, but we sure got some good ones....
Besides a wedding day with rain = good luck!  Thanks again.

WHAT A SIGHT TO SEE! (SHAWNEE & JORDAN'S WEDDING)

This day could not have been any more perfect, and as photographer you do think that with every wedding of course, but to have the perfect amount of cloud in the sky, an adorable couple beautifully dressed, and a roof top ceremony at the Eldorado over looking the lake & mountains...what a sight to see!
Shawnee and Jordan not only had a beautiful set up for their ceremony, but what really stood out to me which I could not capture as a photographer, was the popular rock and alternative music done with an instrumental twist for their ceremony.  Definitely some of the best choices made by a bride and groom that I have heard.

We had lots of time after the ceremony to venture off to many different locations for pictures, which is another photographer's dream.  This always allows for uniqueness and variety when shooting, especially when the group is as fun as this bridal party was, there's no telling what you'll capture and where you'll capture it, but you know it will be good!

The whole day shooting I was fortunate to share some photo time with a good friend of the bride and groom; he was looking for some wedding photography experience, as he regularly does event photography for major occasions such as Centre of Gravity.
Thanks for coming along Kane...And Thank you Shawnee and Jordan for having me be the one to capture your moments!!!

CHELSEY & BRYCE (THE PERFECT WEDDING)

My all time favourite weddings to photograph, are the smaller ones, the quaint and intimate ones where majority of the crowd is family and the two people standing up with the Bride and Groom are their siblings, a true celebration of two families joining.  It's those weddings where you feel like you really get to know these families and how close their relationships with one another are; it is exactly that kind of wedding that Chelsey and Bryce had on August 10th.
There were so many personal touches, such as pie instead of cake, and not just any pie, this was hand made with love from Bryce's Aunt who owns a restaurant in Bellingham, Washington...Might I add, that I have never tasted pie even close to the one piece I snagged.  It was a perfect mix of traditional and non-traditional.  I can honestly say that I truly enjoyed my day hanging out with the Forsberg and Froberg families, that's right, Chelsey barley had to change her name.  It was the PERFECT Wedding!

Thanks to the Chelsey and Bryce, we sure had a good time didn't we... best wishes.

MAGIC ON THE WEST COAST! (ERIN & JOSH TOFINO B.C)

Let's just say I never complain when I have an Island wedding to shoot, it gives me a chance to head back to my roots, where I really feel inspired.  On July 27th I was honoured to capture some beautiful moments in Tofino B.C for Erin and Josh's celebration of marriage.  Josh being my husbands best friend and Erin a close friend from University, made the day even more emotional to photograph.  The natural beauty of the surrounding area sure didn't hurt, but it was the love you could feel from this couple that really defined the day.  Erin & Josh both talented artists, one with in the culinary arts and the other with ink, are planning on traveling this next year...  When they finally return, they will trek back to this beautiful location to reside...  honestly who could blame them.
Thank you again for choosing me as your photographer, I was so proud and honoured!
